suja cleanse

Suja’s 3-Day Fresh Start is perfect for those looking to reset their body. If you follow me on delipsch, you might have seen other posts about fresh juices. If not click here or here. I have been wanting to do a juice cleanse for some time and I do not regret it one bit. I am going to give you a quick run down of what one of what it is all about.
What?
Suja’s 3-Day Fresh Start Program. It is available as a 1, 3, or 5 day package.
When? Where?
Whenever you want it :) It is delivered to your door step.
Cost?
juice cleanse cost
I am going to be honest, I do not have $162.00 (plus some) laying around, but I do know the power of a summer special. Suja occassionally gives customers a chance to enjoy a sip of heaven and offer insane specials…it does not happen all the time, but if it does happen, I suggest you jump all over it. I had a $40+ discount plus FREE shipping (score)! It basically broke down to about $40/day…totally affordable and worth it.
The Goods:

  • 18 16oz bottles
  • USDA Certified Organic
  • Non-GMO Project Verified
  • Kosher certified
  • Dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free (*Vanilla Cloud contains honey)

Suja Recommends:
Before you start:
A couple of days prior to beginning your program, it is a good idea to start eliminating coffee, alcohol, dairy, red meat, sugar, and white flour and bread products. Maximizing fruits, vegetables, and whole grains will make the transition into your program much easier!
During the program:
On the morning of your first day, jump start your body with a warm glass of water with lemon and/or a tablespoon apple cider vinegar. A little while later, when your body feels the need for something more, begin with your juices for the day. They will be consumed as follows:

Suja asks, What if I MUST eat something?!
For best results, it is recommended to stick to the juices. However, if you are active or just plain hungry, that’s ok! The best foods to consume are raw fruits and veggies, half an avocado, a baked sweet potato, or broth-based soups.
After the program:
Your body has been hard at work resting your digestive tract. You want to ease it back into its normal function by introducing gentle foods first. Your first meals should be smoothies, soups, salads, and veggies, or lighter proteins like beans or steamed fish. With each meal, gradually re-introduce heavier foods one at a time to give your body a chance to catch up. Be mindful and carry the way you feel after your program into your everyday life by making wiser food choices going forward.

{My Experience}
Day 1:

Morning started out great. Motivated and ready to conquer the day. Who wouldn’t be on day 1 of anything?
Early morning – Had my warm lemon water followed by Glow
Exercise: 25 minute run followed by 15 minutes of core.
Clinical Lab 9-3: on feet all day
Drank Juices every 2-3 Hours (Fuel-Purify-Fiji) with lots of Water
Got home – felt exhausted and had the “cleanse” headache that some people talk about – went to the grocery store with my mom (this might be a terrible idea to some on a cleanse, but I love grocery shopping cleansing or not…and I also found freshly stocked SUJA juices in the produce juice section at Publix…I was shocked…Key West is usually the last place to have all the “goods…” this definitely put a smile on my face).
Around 4ish – consumed 2 organic carrots and 1/4 Avocado plus water. Took a nap
and felt much better after.
Dinner – Green Supreme and a small-med sweet potato.
Dessert – Vanilla Cloud and relaxed a bit before heading to bed.

Day 2:
Morning – had my warm lemon water followed by Glow
Clinical Lab 9-3: on feet all day
Drank Juices every 2-3 Hours (Fuel-Purify-Fiji) with lots of Water
Got home from lab around 3:45- consumed 2 organic carrots and 1/4 Avocado plus water.
Did my thing for however long till dinner
Dinner – Green Supreme and a small-med sweet potato.
Went on the boat with Ian, got back around 8:30.
Dessert – Vanilla Cloud and relaxed a bit before heading to bed.

Day 3:
Morning – had my warm lemon water followed by Glow
Exercise: 8-9 mile bike ride (total) to and from work
Drank Juices every 2-3 Hours (Fuel-Purify-Fiji) with lots of Water
Got home from work – consumed 3 Red and Orange Pepper wedges and 1/4 Avocado plus water.
Did my thing for however long till dinner
Dinner – Green Supreme and a medium sweet potato.
Went on the boat with Ian got back around 8:30. (I remember how good I felt, Body and mind felt “clean” … this was the feeling I had been waiting for.)
Dessert – Vanilla Cloud and relaxed a bit before heading to bed.
post cleanse
Results:
The one thing I noticed and felt was how clean and fresh my mind and body felt. I am not going to say that miracles happen in 3 days (maybe they do).  What I do know is that when you have a goal/purpose and the right mindset, your mind and body are powerful tools and will respond accordingly. Speaking of body, bloating went down substantially (probably because I am obsessed with cardonated water and chew gum a lot…something I have actually cut back on post-cleanse). Yea I lost a few pounds (naturally), but that wasn’t my goal (maybe it is your goal though). Do me one favor, make choices pertaining to your health and nutrition, with a purpose. Your body will thank you later ;)

Overall thoughts:
-First, the juices are delicious. I am not just saying this because…they actually are some of the best juice flavor combinations I have had. I kept the recipes for all flavors (also located on the bottles) and will share them if you desire. My favorite flavor: Green Supreme.
-Second, it is not as hard as you might think it is (or what others tell you). If you are doing a cleanse (whatever one you choose), do it with purpose. Your purpose will carry out throughout the cleanse and keep your mind on track while your mind and body reap the beenefits.
-After experiencing the before, during and after, I highly recommend Suja’s system. It is totally worth it. If you do not want to invest in the whole system, incorporate a juice into your daily routine or even better…make your own. Our local Publix in Key West, just stocked up on Suja…if they have it, most places should have it (Key West is usually the last stop for anything delipsch). Plus, there is nothing better then fresh juice.
-Ordering my juice cleanse through Suja gave me the convenience of having fresh organic juice at my fingertips. While it could have been done on my own, Suja made it immposible to fail.
-Organic, cold-pressured and NON-GMO are a few concepts everyone should embody when consuming nutrition. Thanks Suja for putting out quality nutrition, one sip at a time.

My keys to success & Delipsch tips:
-Drink lots of water (not carbonated or artificially flavored, just pure water-add a lemon or lime in there if you want)…don’t forget: Water, Water, Water…and just when you think you are done, drink another glass of water.
-Keeping my Brita water bottle filled and by my side=key to cleansing successfully.
-Stay busy…I had clinical and labs for the majority on day 1 and 2 and normal work schedule the third day…this definitely helped keep my mind off any whole food cravings.
-A few days prior, I tried to minimize my animal protein intake and consume more vegetable based meals. Oh and alcohol…it’s best to not drink heavily the week prior to your cleanse (sodas too).
-Stay positive and on track…I invested in this cleanse for a reason. It is not worth allowing any negative thoughts or attitudes to throw you off course.

Cheers to Suja and to a nutritent dense mind and body. Enjoy a delipsch day, one fresh juice at a time.

  1. YAY !! The post I have been waiting for. I haven’t done the cleanse but I have found Suja at my Publix near me (BTW on Sale this week) and I must say I haven’t found one that I don’t like. My 8 year old daughter loves them too!!! Granted it took a little bribing but now she loves them…can’t go wrong with natural / organic and so much more.
Now that I know they do discounts I might need to jump on it, the price was keeping me away but I know there are things I can live without right now to make up for that spending.

    1. Everyone loves to reap the benefits of health and wellness (especially with a discount!) Next time I see a promo Robin, I will definitely let you know! While I love making my own juices, it really is convenient having them at your fingertips. In the end, we are all investing in our health and wellness. Cheers and love the way your family embraces it all!

    1. The cardonation in the water (while I love it) usually causes reaction as burping and bloat. During the cleanse, my goal was to bring my body back to a homeostasis so eliminating the carbonation really helped :)

    1. There are a gazillion different juice cleanses and systems out there, so the options are endless. Suja just seemed to developed quality juices (and the reviews were awesome). I also have a friend from high school who works for Suja, so she was able to fill me in with all the goods..plus they really are delicious.

      1. Awesome and thanks for the info, if I take the plunge for it, should I contact them directly or go through you?

        1. Suja is doing a deal right now that is the same price that I got it (check out: http://www.sujajuice.com/ ) All you have to do it make an account and order from them with the proper discount code (3DAYFRESH) at checkout…I do not have any status with Suja (but that would be awesome if I did, ha!) so just order directly through them. You will love it Joe…let me know if you go through with it all! Cheers.
